Recent News

JezzaBus! have recently made the difficult decision to pull out of London. This will happen on THE NIGHT OF 02/07/15 - THE MORNING OF 03/07/15. This is because, with a fictional bus company, it is hard to work around the quality contracting scheme. We are very sorry to have made this decision. All the routes will go back to the original operators, with the current buses. There will be a goodbye party, visiting half of the routes on Saturday (when the routes we visit will go back to the other operators), the other half on Sunday (when the other routes we visit will go back). There are limited spaces and the (FAKE) tour will cost £50. We will start at North Greenwich, and do one of the routes with the normal bus used, then go back to the garage to do another route with its bus, shadowed by the first bus, then back to the garage, to do another route with its bus and be shadowed by the first two, and so on. Then, we will visit Euston and do the same thing, then Isleworth, where we will stay overnight with all of the shadowed buses so far. Then, we will do the routes from Isleworth and Potters Bar, before returning to Regent Street, where all of the buses will be lined up for photos. There will even be a quick helicopter ride, about 5 minutes, going into the air and taking photos from there. This will cost £10. That is it for today.

There have been 10 buses delivered to Euston garage, namely Gemini 3s, for routes N550 and N551. No dramas there!

Now the Roundabout routes.
The R5/R10 and R8 (now tendered together) have been won by JezzaBus! with 5 new 9 metre Optare Solo SRs (to fit down the narrow lanes). These will be operated from our North Greenwich base until the other routes are taken over. All is well, no problems there either!

Today, there has been a fairly uneventful change. Our sister company bus4you has taken over the 411. They use the existing Optare Versas. Nothing else has happened at bus4you. JezzaBus! next. The 261 has been renumbered 200. In Birmingham, route 99 and X111 have swapped buses for the next month or two. London has been fairly uneventful. 5 of the Omnicitys engines have been replaced in 10 days. There is nothing more to report this week, as it has been fairly boring!

bus4you formation, new heritage fleet and 2 takeovers!

Yesterday, JezzaBus! took over route 13 with 25 of the existing Gemini 2 buses. There were no dramas, just a few curtailments to Oxford Circus and Swiss Cottage. All is fine with the London, Harlow and Birmingham operations. The LT and E400 involved in the incident last week are both fully repaired and have been since Wednesday (slightly later than planned). SD6s engine trial is going well, it will give new life to all of the Omnicitys, as they are getting a bit worn out now. We have decided to replace the engines one by one, from next 10/06/15 through to 15/07/15. On eBay, we have purchased two fairly old buses to start up a heritage fleet. They are Metrobus Pointer P285 FPK (to be repainted into original Guildford & West Surrey livery) and Fords Of Althorne Olympian C118 CHM (to be repainted into original London Transport livery). The main news this week though, is the formation of our sister company, bus4you. It has a very minimal logo and will offer frequent bus services around communities in outer London. It operates route H37 with 16 of the existing Optare Tempos. Here is the logo:

Sullivan Buses Merge and News

Today, Sullivan Buses have merged with JezzaBus! It is an easy merge, with 30 Gemini 3s being orderd. However, they started being delivered on Wednesday, so 6 have made it to service-ready condition. None are in the yard either, but we only need 5 for the 298, Sullivan mainly operate school contracts so we don't need the rest until Monday. The final 24 are being delivered on Monday (5), Tuesday (8), Wednesday (10) and the final 1 on Thursday. For Monday, we have used ELV1 - ELV10, WVL1 - WVL4, DS50 - DS53 and DEL1. Then we will release WVL1, WVL2, DEL1, ELV1, ELV4, ELV5, ELV8 and ELV10. Wednesday will release WVL3, WVL4, ELV2, ELV3, ELV6, ELV6, ELV7, ELV9, DS50 and DS51. DS52 and DS53 will go on Thursday. After that, all service will be with the ordered Gemini 3s.

News:

12134 had a minor scrape with LT512 at the garage on Friday evening. What happened was that 12134 was reversing a bit too quickly and couldn't stop in time, so it smashed one of the rear nearside windows near the front of the LT and the rear windscreen of itself. As well as this, it gave a small scratch on the rear offside of the Enviro and middle nearside of the NBFL. These two buses will be out of service until Tuesday. The windows are easy to replace, body panels slightly harder.

SD6 has had an engine failure, the mechanics will replace the engine with an experimental Euro 7 engine, which could be installed to all of our Omnicitys and other buses!

Update

Recently, JezzaBus! has been fairly quiet, one or two buses have been replaced for a day or two with spares, but that's it. This Saturday, our operation on routes 1 and 56 have started. The 56 is operated with LT502 - LT525, displacing 12128 - 12153. We will take them all, then selling 12152 and 12153 to our Harlow operations for use on route HT1, the other 4 (12128, 12129, 12150, 12151) will be spares in Harlow. That leaves route 1 with 20 of the ex-Stagecoach Enviro 400s (12130 - 12149) for its operation. As well as this, in Birmingham news, an recently bought NBFL is touring the routes.

Isleworth Roadworks (Fictional)

In Isleworth next week (20/04/15 to 25/04/15) and the week after next (27/04/15 to 02/05/15), there will be some roadworks along most of the roads north of the station. Here is a map of the changes:

Black Lines: Diversion

Purple Lines: Roadworks Both Weeks

Red Lines: Roadworks First Week

Yellow Lines: Roadworks Second Week

The 110 and H28 usually run along London Road, however the road will be closed for two weeks, so they both have to follow this diversion. These buses will not stop at any stops on the diversion. For Isleworth Station, use either the stop before the diversion for a slightly quicker route, or after for a stop closer to it. Thank you for reading this post, but sorry for the (fictional) pain!
